The Team

Andrew Heller is a qualified Chartered Accountant and serves as Executive Chairman & Managing Director of Bisichi PLC. After joining the company in 1994, Andrew was appointed an Executive Director in 1999. Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in the Mining industry and has been involved in coal mining in South Africa since 1994.

Garrett Casey joined the Board of Bisichi PLC in 2010 after starting at the company as Group Finance Manager in 2008. Garrett qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and has had previous roles in both the European and South African property sector as well as the accounting profession.

Robert joined the company in 2000 as General Manager of Black Wattle Colliery and was appointed Director of Mining of Bisichi PLC in 2008. Robert is a Certificated Coal Mine Manager with over 40 years coal mining experience and is a member of the Engineering Council of South Africa.

John Sibbald has been a Director since 1988. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant he spent over 20 years in stockbroking, specialising in mining and international investment.

John Wong has been a director since 2020. After training as a Chartered accountant he has worked in the fund management industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience in investment management, in particular within the mining sector.

John Heller was appointed a Director in 2023. John Heller is the Chairman and Chief Executive of London & Associated Properties PLC which holds a 41.6% stake in Bisichi. John Heller has extensive knowledge and experience in property investment and management.

Takalani is the General Manager at Black Wattle Colliery and has been an employee at Black Wattle since 2006. He was previously employed by Harmony Gold and has been in the mining industry for over 15 years.
